Warranty Policy — Softastrd.com
- Statutory rights in respect of liability for defects (statutory guarantee of conformity) remain in force.
- The customer is required to check, immediately upon delivery, that the order is complete and that the item is in good working order — in particular, the validity and activation of the licence key — and to report any obvious defects to us as soon as possible. Failure to report any defects in a timely manner does not affect the customer’s statutory warranty rights.
- The quality of the item is determined solely by our information and the product description provided by the manufacturer, and not by any other forms of advertising, public communications or promotional statements made by the manufacturer.
- The commercial warranty period is 14 days from the date of purchase. If, within this period, the licence key proves to be invalid or cannot be activated for reasons attributable to us, the customer is entitled to a correction or to the provision of a replacement key in accordance with the provisions of point 6.
- The warranty does not cover defects resulting from: misuse of the product or the licence key; installation or activation that does not comply with the instructions; use in a hardware or software environment that does not meet the requirements specified in the product description or the licence certificate; unauthorised modifications; or interventions attributable to the customer or third parties. Keys that have already been activated or redeemed are also excluded, unless the malfunction is attributable to us.
- In the event of a faulty licence key, we reserve the right to rectify the fault (rectification) or to provide a replacement key free from faults (replacement delivery). At our request, the customer is obliged to cooperate, for example by ceasing to use the defective key, in accordance with the provisions of the law.
Granting of rights (software supply contracts)
Upon full payment of the purchase price, the customer is granted the non-exclusive and permanently valid right to use the product to the extent permitted by the contract. The product may only be used simultaneously by the maximum number of people or devices corresponding to the licence purchased. Permitted use includes the installation of the software, its loading into main memory and its intended use. Under no circumstances shall the customer be entitled to rent out, sub-license, resell, publicly reproduce or make the purchased goods accessible — whether by cable or wirelessly — nor to make them available to third parties, whether for a fee or free of charge, except where expressly permitted by law.
The customer is entitled to make a backup copy of the software where this is necessary to ensure its future use.
